Expanded metal is a metal network made by stamping and stretching quality sheet metal into an open mesh. Expanded metal is versatile, and its esthetic appearance, uniform structure, economic cost, great strength and easy installation make it a protection fence. Light type expanded metal is used in common fencing while heavy type expanded metal is used for security guarding. In particular, it is used as highway glare screening, because the ridgy strands can effectively alleviate drivers' giddy sensation caused by the headlights of oncoming vehicles, so the drivers can drive much more comfortably and safely in the night on the highway. FINISH - All Expanded metal fences are available hot dipped galvanized or plastic powder coated. Both can be specified to the color of your choice. All components go through a 5-stage finishing process: Step 1 - Rinsed and cleaned with clear water. Step 2 - Phosphate treated to etch the surface. Step 3 - Rinsed again with clear water. Step 4 - Components are oven dried prior to powder coating. Step 5 - Plastic powder is then applied by the electrostatic spray process to a thickness of 2.5 mils(. 0635 mm ). The metal is then oven heated at 450 degrees (232 degrees c) for 14 minutes. Standard colors are: Black - Chocolate - Ensor green - Olive Green - White. Custom colors are available upon request. Materials of Expanded Metal Mesh fence: Low carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, nickel and other alloys. Size of Expanded Metal Mesh fence: Sheet thickness: 1.5mm - 3mm. LWD: 25mm - 100mm. SWD: 19mm - 58mm Sheet width: 500mm - 2000mm. Sheet length: 500mm - 30000mm Usage of Expanded Metal Mesh fence: Widely used as expressway fencing, sports field fence and various barriers.
